Hello world!

This will be my very occasional blog – where I post more personal, less political essays and reflections, that do not fit on my political and national security issues blog, 2parse.com.

That’s really all there is to say.

There are a few things I’ve been meaning to write – for myself, about things I’ve been thinking on – but I haven’t, as the daily grind of having to write somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 words a day takes up most of my attention.

But I’ve been thinking about writing an essay on the morality of walking in Midtown Manhattan, on the potentially profound meaning of Oscar Wilde’s line that “It takes great courage to see the world in all of it’s tainted glory, and still to love it,” on the depressing message of The Notebook and Twilight.

As I wrote before though, this blog will be a very occasional – more like the popular Violent Acres – but less memoir and more essay.
